Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a resolution “On measures on ensuring speedy development of internal tourism”.
Uzbek leader approved a plan of practical measures to realize program of developing internal tourism “O‘zbekiston bo‘ylab sayohat qil!” (Travel around Uzbekistan).
President entrusted the State Tourism Committee and other organizations to approve a schedule of organization of tours and excursions by regions in a month term.
The resolution said that Uzbekistan will conduct information and promotion events to attract youth to tourism sector and develop internal tourism.
It added that outdoor advertisements, placed by the State Tourism Committee and local state bodies, to promote internal tourism will be considered as social advertisement. Uzbek leader ordered to pace advertisements on outdoor boards and displays at central streets, public places and roads in each region of Uzbekistan.
The resolution also set source of financing of expenses, related to payment of tours and excursions of some categories of citizens – students, workers of organizations, orphans and people with disabilities, pensioners, war and labour veterans, activists and others. The participation in the program is voluntary.
From 10 February 2018, Shavkat Mirziyoyev introduced an order, in line with which expenses of employers related to purchase of tours for employees and family members will not be considered as income of the worker and excluded at calculation of income tax for legal entities within three years.
Income tax of individuals will be decreased to the sum of expenses, directed to purchase tours around Uzbekistan from licensed tour operators. Tour vouchers, air and railway tickets, invoices from automobile transport organizations and checks from hotels are documents will serve as evidence for tax deduction.
According to the document, tax base of tourism organizations will be decreased to the sum of expenses, directed to produce print products, souvenir and packaging products, which will include ads of tour brands of Uzbekistan and website Uzbekistan.travel.
Uzbek head recommended commercial banks to provide consumer loans to Uzbek citizens to purchase tours within Uzbekistan from licensed tourism organizations up to 10 million soums with the possibility to repay credit from salary.
